When stealthy presentations are necessary, choose the Tropic Plus Ghost Tip. Our Tropic Plus Ghost Tip 9 features a 9 ft. clear intermediate tip with a sink rate of 1.5-2 inches per second. The 7 ft. front taper effortlessly turns over a variety of fly sizes without compromising subtle presentations when the fish are laid up in shallow water. The body of this line is 27 ft. long and equally excels at short and long range casts. The 7 ft. back taper paired with the extended body transfers more energy into your cast resulting in superior shootability.
Built on a monofilament core, our Ghost Tip 9 features our signature tropic plus coating for withstanding the hottest temperatures while still remaining slick, supple and fast shooting.
Ghost Tip 9 is finished in a stealthy clear and sand color that blends in with flats environments.

Our Tropic Plus Ghost Tip 9 is built for tropic environments and will perform best in temperatures above 70 degrees (F). Our Tropic PVC coating is designed to remain hard, slick and supple in the hottest conditions.
The taper design for our Ghost Tip 9 line was built to excel in both short and long range casting. The extended body and short rear taper allows for more energy to be transferred into your cast for quickly shooting your line. The mid-length front taper turns over a variety of fly sizes without compromising subtle presentations. This line is built in true line size so your rod is never overweighted when carrying a lot of line.
This line is finished in a clear and sand color for ultimate stealth out on the flats.
Cleaning your fly line is very important especially when fishing saltwater. Simply pull line off your reel into a clean bucket or tub of freshwater. Put roughly 1oz or more of Cortland’s Line Cleaner solution onto a clean rag or towel. Firmly squeeze the towel with Pro Line Cleaner around the line and slowly pull line through the towel. You should be able to see dirt or discolored streaks on the towel when finished.

Sink rate and cast ability are amazing
Had a chance to dock light fish in January the cast ability of the 7 wt line with a 6 wt rod works wonderful for me. The sink rate was nice and slow. I highly recommend giving the ghost tip 9 a try.

Fishing in clear saltwater..... delivery of the fly to the fish quickly, accurately and quietly is the difference between success and failure.....simply fact.
