Cortland’s Product Warranty

Premium Cortland rods and reels carry a 2-year warranty against manufacturer’s defects and workmanship for the original owner of the rod or reel. Cortland will, at their option, repair or replace any premium Cortland rod or reel which is found to be defective in material or workmanship. Original owners are asked to complete the online “product registration” form (providing proof of purchase) within 30 days of purchase. All products must be purchased from an authorized Cortland retailer to be eligible.

Warranties do not cover damages due to fire, theft, loss, or incidental damage resulting from use of the product. Unregistered rods or reels being returned, must provide proof of purchase. Repair of non-warrantied damage may be available for a reasonable charge.

Cortland reserves the right to repair or replace warrantied products with similar products. Replaced components may differ in color or other cosmetic features. Complete rods or reels must be returned for inspection prior to any warranty claim. Owners are responsible for shipping / insurance costs for returning of the rod or reel (duties/taxes for international). This warranty is valid unless otherwise stated on the product. Laws vary from state to state and you may have additional rights.
