Indicator Mono Leader Material - Bi-color

With varying lights dancing off the water, it really does help to have two colors that will either reflect or refract light. In essence, the red will absorb more light on darker days, while the fluorescent yellow will show up on brighter days to help in any euronymphing applications you may delve into. On a different note, the smaller the diameter of your indicator mono, the more you feel and see how often subtle takes come and go.

White Mono as Running Line while Euro Nymphing

I used 13 lb down to 7 lb WHITE MONO successfully in the Carson, Truckee and Walker River (East and West flows) while Euro nymphing.. Great stuff!

Euro Nymph running line

Line works great as a EURO running line and leader line all in one. Some guys use lines as low as 5 lb, however I use the 8 lb range for better "grabability". The thinner the line the less the wind effects the cast. White line fairly easy to see. Since switching from 10-12 lb line catch rate has gone up....it just casts better.

Great product

I build a lot of leaders for Euro Nymphing it only use Cortland products. They last forever, they're very strong. They do everything you want a leader to do.

Strong like all Cortland tippet, but the brightest colors I can find

This indicator tippet is my favorite. It's strong, just like I expect from Cortland, but at 2x, I'm not worried about being the weak point. My favorite part of the Cortland Indicator material is how bright it is. The brightness makes it easier to detect strikes. Ideally, I like to carry 2 indicator materials, one for brightness and one for subtlety, but if I carry one it's the Cortland. At early or late light, this indicator material is the easiest to see.
