Haven’t used it yet. Out of commission due to health issues but chomping at the bit.

    Better than expected!

Cortland and I go way back. 20 years ago I had a Cortland fly rod and loved it! Also used Corland 444 a lot over the years. I needed a new floating line for my 5wt and wanted something designed for big flies. My 5 weight, a Scott G2, is my big fly freshwater rod. Think hopper/dropper and even smaller streamers where i don't need a sinking tip, or sinking line. In any case, I had the "Big Fly " line out for the first time and was very impressed. As you might expect, it has a heavy head and handles similar to a saltwater shooting line, but that is what I love about it. It loads even a touch rod like the G2, very quickly, and if you double haul it will shoot 20--30 feet of line no problem, with enough inertia to lay out even a long leader, with a big streamer attached, no problem. Can't wait to throw some big double dries this summer! I like it so much, I will be selling my 6wt soon!
