Every Climax Leader is designed with a stiff butt section to transfer your casting energy progressively down the length of the leader to the tippet section. All leaders are manufactured with high-abrasion resistance, yet supple co-polymer materials, which allow this energy transfer to deliver a quick, powerful turnover and delicate, natural presentation of the fly. Climax Leaders are specifically designed for different species of fish and fishing conditions. These designs give maximum leader performance for specific fishing techniques.

Trout
Trout are arguably the most sought after fish by fly fishers the world over. Today we offer the demanding trout angler the best of two worlds: Powerful turnover from a stiffer butt section teamed with delicate tippet presentation and just the right amount of shock absorbing stretch from the material. Trout Quick-Joint Leader - New!
Making quick connections between your fly line, leader and tippet often is the difference between true angling success and failure. New this year we are featuring an all new leader option with a slip-on leader loop connection and a tippet ring for quickly adding leader material. 9 ft. 0X-7X.
Nymph
We've taken a lot of the guess work out by designing a superb casting and fishing leader that has a slim strike indicator built into the middle. Our special nymph leader is available in two lengths and a variety of sizes: 7.5 ft. 0X-5X and 9 ft. 0X-5X.
Spring Creek
Delicate presentation is imperative in spring creek situations exemplified by placid waters and very tricky backwater eddies. These leaders have shorter butt sections and extra-long tippet sections. Available in 13 1/2 and 16 ft. 4X-7X.
Fluorocarbon Tapered Leaders
All the benefits of Fluorocarbon material in a full-length tapered leader. Extra-hard material virtually disappears in water due to its low refraction properties. Available in 9 ft. .016in. through 7X.
Braided Butt Leaders with FLuorocarbon Tippet
The supple braided monofilament butt section on this new leader reduces unwanted drag allowing your fly to drift more naturally. Available in 9 ft. 0X-7X.
Salmon/Steelhead
The almost infinite variety of conditions and fly sizes needed for successful Salmon and Steelhead fishing demands an equally diverse arsenal of leaders for the task. All leaders have strong butts, semi-quick tapers and long tippets to allow the fly to swim in a realistic fashion. Available in 4 ft., 6 lb.-20 lb. and 9 ft., 10.5 ft. and 15 ft. in 8 to 15 lb. test.
Bass - New 4 ft. lengths available!
Bass fishing usually entails big, wind-resistant flies and windy conditions. These leaders are designed to address both realities, as well as the fact that exact placement is often times demanded. Leaders are 70% butt material, with a quick tapering and short tippet section. Available in 4 ft., 6 ft. and 9 ft. lengths, 6 to 15 lb. test.
Pike
Big fish, big flies, big teeth! Pike and Musky require a leader with a big diameter butt section to turnover giant wind-resistant flies and a tippet section built to hold up against sharp teeth. The 8 foot leader has a 15in. coated wire shock tippet with two crimping sleeves, attached to your choice of 20, 30 or 40 lb. mono.

Striped Bass
The striped bass is arguably the most popular saltwater target for fly fishers. They are found in a variety of fishing situations and fished for with an almost infinite variety of fly sizes. We've designed a wide variety of leaders using hard monofilament for abrasion resistance and fast tapers for quick turnover. Leaders are 4, 6 and 9 feet long and available in 6 to 20 lb. test.
Bonefish - New 15' lengths!
Successfully catching the "ghost of the flats" demands that the angler be ready for any and all conditions. Climax offers you a variety of leader lengths, tapers and tippet sizes designed by experts to cover all the bases. The 9 foot bonefish tapers are available in 6 to 15 lb. test and the 12 footers come in 6 to 12 lb. test. The new 15 footers are available in 8 to 15 lb. test.
Tarpon/Sailfish
Tarpon/Sailfish leaders are true complex leaders, consisting of three sections designed to turnover heavy flies under a variety of conditions. Each leader features Biminis on the line loops and class tippet, with 80 lb. hard mono shocks. They are all 9 feet long, IGFA rated and available in 8, 12, 16 and 20 lb. test.
Barracuda/Bluefish
Barracuda and Bluefish are tough customers and demand a no-nonsense approach. We've attached a 15 inch coated, kink resistant wire bite tippet to our stiff 20, 30 or 40 lb. test mono leader material to give you a choice of three different 8 foot leaders that can withstand tremendous abuse and help turnover the heaviest flies. Includes two crimping sleeves.
Redfish
A 9ft knotless tapered leader great for Redfish. 10 and 12 lb. test.
All Purpose Bite-Guard. A great all purpose saltwater leader. Bite-Guard is pre-attached. Good for Snook, Baby Tarpon, Ladyfish and Jack Crevalle. 8 ft. in 20, 30 and 40 lb. test.
Toothy Critter - New!
Pike, bluefish and barracuda can quickly turn the best day of fishing into a nightmare without the right tackle. These species require specialized leader materials that can stand up to razor sharp teeth. Toothy Critter is tie-able stainless steel wire leader material that is specially coated to remain supple enough for conventional knots. Available in dark green in 10, 15, 20, 35 and 50 lb. break strengths. All sizes are available as 10 meter spools.
